After successive fuel hikes, we started the day with a new hike in gasoline and diesel. The previous night, gasoline was increased by 1,43 Turkish Liras (TL), and diesel was increased by 1,38 TL. However, with the new price hikes that are valid today, gasoline prices were increased by 0,7 TL and diesel oil by 0,97 TL. After the hikes in LPG at the beginning of the week, and diesel and gasoline prices last night, current prices have reached alarming levels with the increase in fuel prices today.
The price hike in fuel never ceases. While it becomes almost impossible for a citizen without a vehicle to buy a car, the citizens who own a vehicle experience the desperation of fuel prices, which have increased almost 4 times compared to last year. The hike in fuel prices had increased by 1,45 TL for gasoline and 1,38 TL for diesel fuel yesterday. Fuel prices have been hiked once again today. Although the barrel price of oil (Brent) is traded in the range of 115-120 dollars, the rise of the dollar up to 16,40 TL was once again reflected in the citizen as a hike. Gasoline and diesel prices increased for the second time within 24 hours. Gasoline was increased by 0,7 TL, and diesel by 0,97 TL. With this last increase, the liter of gasoline increased from 24,31 TL to 25,01 TL and the liter of diesel increased from 23,36 TL to 24,33 TL in Istanbul. LPG, known as “Autogas”, is sold at 11,62 TL.
