Millions of civil servants and workers await July with great anticipation. Employees hope that the 3600 additional indicators, and the second increase in the minimum wage which are planned to be brought to the Parliament in June, will be enacted in July before the Parliament goes into recess.
CIVIL SERVANTS WAIT FOR ADDITIONAL INDICATOR
The government took a step at the beginning of this year regarding 3600 additional indicators, which remained as promises for a long time. While the civil servants presented their demands in the two meetings held on the subject, the ruling wing still did not present its proposal. The meeting, which was planned to be held the previous week and was expected to present the proposal of the ministry, was postponed again by the ministry. Thus, the drafting of 3600 additional indicators was delayed. After the civil servants reacted to the issue, the ministry made a statement that the draft would be prepared at the end of the month and presented to the Parliament in June. The civil servant’s side stated that they wanted to see action, not a word.
WORKERS EXPECT SECOND HIKE IN MINIMUM WAGE
Another issue that the employees were eagerly waiting for was the study that regulated a second increase in the minimum wage. The ruling wing brought the issue to the agenda at the beginning of the year and made statements that a second hike could be made to the minimum wage. Recently, the news of our newspaper that the government was working on the issue had a wide place on the agenda. The statements made by the ministry and government staff also strengthened the claims about the raise. The work on the subject is expected to be submitted to the Parliament in June and become law in July.
