If we wake up one morning and see that the Quran has been removed from the earth. If we see that there is not a single copy of the Qur'an left on our shelves, in our ornate covers on the walls, in the libraries in our mosques, in our mobile phones and computer programs, on YouTube and social media sites, and that there is not even a single verse of the Qur'an in our memories...

For God's sake, what would change in our lives as a Muslim society?

The Quran has been removed from the earth! We will no longer be able to govern our administration according to the Qur'an. Do we think brooding over saying that the Qur'an will no longer determine our principles, which we accept as criteria in politics? Or do we say that we are already governing according to French secularism law or democracy and continue our lives?

The Quran has been removed from the earth! We will no longer be able to do our economy and trade according to the orders of the Qur'an! Do we feel sad when we say that we will no longer be able to regulate our debt law, check, promissory note, bank, stock exchange, and lease transactions according to the Qur'an? Or do we continue our lives by saying that we already make our economic rules according to the German law of obligations or the requirements of the liberal economy or whatever the interest, dollar, exchange rate system requires?

The Quran has been removed from the earth! Do we experience great surprise when we say that we can no longer make our rules of law according to the Qur'an, that the Qur'an will no longer determine our principles of justice? Or do we say that we already determine our law according to Italian criminal law, according to the European court of human rights, according to the United Nations Convention on Human Rights and continue our lives?

The Quran has been removed from the earth! Do we fall into a great void, saying that we will no longer be able to organize our family life according to the Qur'an, that the Qur'an will no longer determine our marriage principles, divorce and inheritance law, alimony laws, and family policies? Or do we say that we already determine our family law according to Swiss civil law, gender equality project, EU harmonization laws and continue our lives?

The Quran has been removed from the earth! Do we worry that we can no longer shape our international politics and interstate relations according to the Qur'an? Or do we continue our lives by saying that we do not take the Qur'an as a criterion in our international relations, but the strategic partnership with the USA, real politics, friendship with Israel, our relations with China and Russia, or the European Union?

Yes, what changes in our lives, have we ever thought?

Have we ever thought? Is the Qur'an a criterion for us when making a decision, making a choice, starting a job or giving up on something?

Is the Qur'an a determining measure for us in our morals, social life, family life, and child education? Do we see the Qur'an as a criterion when we are having our wedding, conducting our business, arranging our relations with relatives and neighbors, our relations with our parents and friends, watching a TV series, or browsing a social media site?

Where is the Qur'an in our lives? If we put aside our prayers, Ramadan fasting and our headscarf, what is left of the Qur'an in our lives? Which of our works is according to the Qur'an, which of our attitudes, which of our concerns, which of our goals are according to the Qur'an?

Does the Qur'an determine our morality, behavior and life program? Or is it TV series, movies, social media phenomena, celebrities from the sports and art community?

Does the Qur'an determine our perspective, priorities, prohibitions, freedoms and borders, or do the life, culture, traditions, customs and crowds that we live in shape us and our lives?

If the Qur'an were to be removed from the earth one day and if our only concern would be what we will read at our funerals, there will be the deuce to pay...
