Speaking at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Saadet Party Konya Deputy Abdulkadir Karaduman said, "Specialist sergeants who were excluded from the staffing work for contracted public personnel are waiting for a cadre."
“PERSONAL RIGHTS NEED TO BE IMPROVED”
Karaduman stated that expert sergeants should benefit from social facilities and army officer’s club, and emphasized that writing a regulation for the appointment of expert sergeants and defining the profession are the steps to be taken.
Karaduman said, “Special sergeants have to spend a large part of their professional life away from their families in the region where they work, since there is no appointment regulation. This situation negatively affects family unity and family integrity. Why are contracted sergeants excluded from the staffing study? This needs to be explained. It is unacceptable to classify and differentiate personnel, to ignore the rights of some while giving the rights of others. By making staffing arrangement for sergeants as soon as possible, personal rights and working conditions should be improved.”
