Saadet Party Konya Deputy Abdulkadir Karaduman brought the stray dog problem to the agenda of the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (GNAT).
Karaduman stated that 27 of our people lost their lives as a result of stray dog attacks in the last 10 months.
"10-year-old Mustafa Erçetin, who was attacked by a dog in the Göldüzü village of Bitlis the other day, was diagnosed with rabies and unfortunately passed away," Karaduman said.
“OUR STREETS ARE NOT SAFE”
"We have 10-year-old Mahra Melin Pınar in Antalya Serik, Rabia Kallı in Isparta, 2-year-old Ali Asaf Aktekin in Ağrı, aunt Hamide in Zonguldak and many more lost their lives as a result of stray dog attacks. Injured survivors of these attacks are also condemned to carry the wearing scars of the trauma they experienced for a lifetime. Unfortunately, our streets are not safe and it is unacceptable to leave this life-threatening problem unsolved. In this regard, municipalities and relevant ministries should take the necessary steps immediately," Karaduman added.
