Felicity (Saadet) Party Konya Deputy and Head of Youth Branch Abdulkadir Karaduman spoke about the youth at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). Expressing that the young people have lost their hope for the future from the Justice and Development Party (AKP) government, Karaduman said that they saw a scene where young people were left alone with concerns and problems.

“UNIVERSITY GRADUATE YOUTH BECOME CASHIERS IN 3-LETTERED MARKETS”

Emphasizing that one out of every four young people is unemployed, Karaduman pointed out that working young people cannot make a living with the monthly salary they earn. Karaduman said, “You say young people don't like work. But we see that university graduates work as cashiers in 3-letter markets. The most productive period of young people's lives is spent preparing for Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) and all kinds of exams, but those who make the highest level in the exams by getting points from the exam are stuck with the injustice of the interview. I have hundreds of thousands of young brothers whose efforts were wasted and whose rights were usurped because the condition of loyalty to the ruling party was sought instead of merit. It is our duty to protect their rights and save them from this dark vortex.”

“DIPLOMA TURNED INTO AN UNEMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATE”

Karaduman stated that the concept of home youth has emerged due to the inability of young people to find a job, “The young person who does not take part in any of the production, employment and education processes is called home youth. It has been determined that approximately 4 million of our young people in our country are 'home youth'. The fact that so many of our young people are isolated from life is a survival issue for our country. Today, more than 5 million of our young friends are Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK) debtors, and about 300 thousand of them are foreclosure due to KYK debt. It is not enough for young people to be unemployed, most of them are also in debt. The number of pre-service teachers who have completed their education, passed the exam and are waiting to be appointed is more than 700 thousand. University diplomas have almost turned into unemployment certificates,” Karaduman added.

“WE WILL NEVER ABANDON HOPE IN THE FUTURE!”

Emphasizing that, they will increase their work on youth Karaduman said: “We will definitely change this order, which is 'wasting' the youth of our country, so to speak. This dark order is now out of date. We, as Saadet Party; We will build a Turkey where young people are actively involved in production, employment and education processes, and where they work devotedly to establish justice and ensure development. I assure all my young brothers; Do not worry and do not despair, together we will establish light instead of darkness, and truth instead of falsehood. No matter what happens, hope for the future will never be abandoned!”
