While the election squares are increasingly moving, the style of the AKP-MHP spokespersons is also hardening. It is like as if we are going to the war, not the elections. In the meantime, the allegations that these elections will give the result of either survival or trouble, also every vote against the People's Alliance means chaos and disturbance, moreover according to the statements of Bahceli that this election is the last exist before the clash enchafes person willingly or not. Allegedly, the votes given except the AKP and MHP alliance will be given for the country’s disaster. Let me point out that if the country today really has a problem of survival, beyond that if it is the last exist before the clash, one can’t stop asking that is the opposition or the power ruling the country?
Indeed, if there is a survival problem of the country as Bahceli and Erdogan say and the AKP-MHP alliance should succeed in the elections in order to overcome this problem, would those who have ruled this country for 16 years not be responsible for the point? In other words, can the opposition not the power be responsible for the situation of the country? On top of that, could it be the explanation of the fact that the power owners write every positive development on their own scoreboard while accusing the opposition and the foreign powers for all kinds of negatives?
At that point, could it be an understandable explanation of the fact that the ruling party defines the parties going to the elections other than themselves like Erdogan’s “31 March, will be the end of the national cheekies” sentence when it comes to the role of democracy and elections in the democratic system?
As a result, if the members of the power regard the situation in our country as the problem of chaos and survival, should they not forget that they are responsible for the arrival of this point? Doesn’t mentioning the similar allegations every day mean to ask the account of their own incompetence from the opposition? In other words, does not this approach mean the intolerance of the members of power to opposition? If there is an election in question and the name of the system in practice is democracy, shouldn’t it be necessary to compete on equal terms with the power and the opposition of all parties in that election? Especially, the fact that the opposition parties are defined as the national cheekies does not lead to the interpretation that they represent the national will and the other parties do not have a such representation right? In an election, if some of the parties see themselves as the representatives of the national will, pushing the other aside, shouldn’t these claims be placed on a legal basis? That is, if the elections will lead to the national will to appear and some parties do not have a such right, than can it be the right of the ruling wing to make this determination?
Does being the power allow to gather all rights in itself, and to declare the opposition as the frontline of evil? If it is called that it does, will the elections have any meaning? Already, there is no need to say that the election campaigne is not carried out under equal conditions. Moreover when the fact that the opponent parties have no right to represent the national will added to this, the elections become meaningless and then it is not possible to talk about democracy. Beyond that, every party goes to the election must respect the results. If the votes given to anyone else in advance are considered to be a danger to this country, is it possible to respect the results? Doesn’t such an approach make the votes of a significant part of the election meaningless? Doesn’t this approach diminish the interest of the voters in elections in future? That’s right. If their votes are perceived as a danger by some, wouldn’t it hurt the electorate?
