Afghanistan was occupied by the Soviet Union towards the end of the 1970s with claims to bring freedom. There is no need to dwell too much on what it means to bring freedom to an occupied country. Because colonial powers often claim that they bring freedom to the countries they send soldiers to, and unfortunately, this illogical discourse is accepted and approved by groups that have accepted the puppetry of puppeteers in occupied countries.
I remember the days when Afghanistan was occupied by the Soviet Union like it was yesterday. Even in those days, when I was discussing this issue with a leftist journalist friend at the Parliamentary Press Office, I said how a country can be invaded with the claim of bringing freedom, there is no logic in it. That friend, in his own way, stated that he approved the invasion by saying that Afghanistan was invaded to save it from US exploitation.
In short, in those years, if you describe yourself as right-wing, knowingly or unknowingly, you were approving or needing to approve of US imperialism, if you describe yourself as left-wing, the colonialism of the Soviet Union. In short, for many years, especially young people in this country had to choose either the right or the left. Leftism was in fashion in those years, especially in order to be described as intellectual and progressive. This distorted understanding and acceptance was destroyed for the first time by my late teacher Erbakan, and it was tried to be destroyed. Because for the first time in the political scene, Erbakan Hodja objected to a mistake that had become accepted by saying, "There is no right and left, there is truth and falsehood". In those years, especially for young people, they had to choose one of these two due to the fact that there was no other way than to be right-wing or left-wing, or rather, due to the prevailing understanding in the country.
When I remember those days, saying that I am not a right-wing or a left-winger means I am nothing, it was described as 'You are a football player, neither leftist or right-wing'. However, a good football player could have turned the corner materially in those years as he is today. But the important thing was to belong to one side rather than turn the corner. In particular, the condition of being an intellectual and being described as such was as if being a leftist. Because the left understanding was more decisive than the right understanding and culture. However, in those years, the centre-right understanding and parties came to power by taking the vote of the majority of the people in this country, it was almost impossible for leftists to come to power on their own. Despite this, unfortunately, leftists were in a dominant position in the press and broadcasting world.
This point was caused by the news in the newspapers under the headline "Signal of military intervention from Russia to Afghanistan". It made me think that the colonialists, which I have mentioned from time to time, directly or indirectly supported each other in their exploitation. Because Afghanistan was occupied by the Soviet Union years ago with the claim of bringing freedom, and a serious resistance emerged in Afghanistan against this occupation. As the resistance gradually spread in the country, the Soviet Union decided to withdraw from Afghanistan, then some pro-US formations took action, and after a while, it was occupied by the US and coalition forces, which seemed to be on the side of the forces struggling to save Afghanistan from the occupation, and the occupation has remained until today. had lasted. The United States has now decided to withdraw from Afghanistan. Because the resistance of the Taliban against the invaders began to seriously disturb the United States. Already recently, news in the media under the headings of "Taliban continues to advance" or "Taliban is advancing, Kabul is struggling" shows that if the US insists on staying in Afghanistan, the cost will be heavy. If so, it is necessary to withdraw and pave the way for Russia. In other words, even though the names of the invaders are changed, Afghanistan is not wanted to get rid of the occupation. In a way, the invaders are preparing for a changing of the guard.
