From time to time, the news of the seizure of drugs that were brought into our country both from our land borders and by sea are reflected in the media. In particular, I think that expressing the amount of drugs seized in tons should be a harbinger of a serious danger. Despite this, it is pleasing that the drugs that were brought into our country by various means were caught, but inevitably, "What happens to those who are not caught?" begs the question. In the meantime, it is not possible to pass without thinking about the fate of those who are not caught, which is stated to be thousands of kilos. The large numbers of arrests inevitably lead to the question “Are drug smugglers using our country as a transit route? Is it marketed indoors, and if it is, how much of it is poisoning our people, especially our youth?” There are serious questions that await answers.
In short, drug addiction is an increasingly serious threat in our country. It is stated that some neighborhoods and districts in our big cities are under the occupation of drug dealers, referred to as drug dealers, and police forces raid these areas. In the meantime, it is known that those who are involved in drugs, both as smokers and dealers, cannot easily free themselves from addiction. On the one hand, the state and on the other hand, voluntary non-governmental organizations are working to save our youth from this scourge, but it has not been possible to eradicate it so far. The main thing in the fight against drugs should be to prevent our people from getting acquainted with this disease. Because some of our scientists draw attention to a danger to warn our young people and say, "70 percent of those who try the drug once become addicted." They express this based on their experience. In the meantime, they draw attention to the fact that drug use has been normalized recently, especially on social media.
I'm not writing this to be doomsayers. I am expressing this to remind that the future of those who meet drugs with the approach that nothing happens at once, their futures are dark, and their lives, in a way, have gone out of their control and into the hands of drug dealers. In this respect, family members have important duties in protecting and rescuing their children from drugs. In the meantime, it is not as easy as it seems to save people addicted to drugs, and for this, first of all, drugs need to be saved from being a commodity bought and sold by some gangs. I think there are measures to be taken by the state for this. In particular, the penalties given to drug smugglers and dealers should be aggravated, that is, the penalties should be made deterrent.
In the meantime, in the news reflected in the media, it is stated that the age of starting drugs for our youth has decreased to 15. In a final statement, the dimensions of the incident were stated as follows:
“Substance abuse is on the rise. At the same time, the age ratio is also decreasing. According to the latest data, 85 percent of drug users are between the ages of 15-24.”
I think this will be enough to show the point that drug addiction has reached in our country. I know that a struggle is being waged, but the event is increasingly becoming a serious threat to society. It is pointed out that mothers have a serious responsibility in this regard, especially in the fight against drugs by the state, and they are called upon to join hands. I would like to remind you of all this, and I would like to draw attention to the need to increase the penalties given to those who smuggle and sell this business, considering that acting as if there is no such danger will cause addiction to become more widespread. Because it should not be forgotten that the lives of puppies that become addicted once become addicted.
