The main duty of non-governmental organizations is to inform the society and to remove the confusion created by some imaginary information. Trade unions in particular have important roles in this area. In the meantime, serious duties fall on those who are experts in their fields. However, the documents and information at hand and comments that are not made on the basis of figures have serious consequences. It seems that feelings of affiliation determine the evaluations made rather than the numbers obtained. In short, ideological approaches direct the evaluations rather than the realities of the country. The monthly figures announced by TURKSTAT on this issue are subject to constant criticism. In addition to this, the changes in the relevant people are added to this, and the questions that arise in the minds are increasing. It is possible to give the figures announced by two separate unions regarding the hunger and poverty limits for March. According to the research of Memur-Sen, the hunger limit for March is 2 thousand 701 and the poverty line is 7 thousand 716 TL. Birleşik Kamu-İş announced the hunger line for March as 3 thousand 396 and the poverty line as 11 thousand 575 TL. When these two numbers are considered together, it is not possible for a person to predict which one he will accept as correct.
Let me state right away that my wish is that no employee or retired person will be left below the hunger threshold in our country. Because the fact that those who receive wages below these hunger threshold figures, which are determined by workers or retirees, are dragged into the economy in this country, it is necessary to focus on the reasons why our people are below the announced numbers, regardless of what they are on behalf of, and think about how to find a solution to the situation . Permanent solutions can be found to the problem, especially as the unions' statements are not decisive in their ideologies. Otherwise, if the existing problems and troubles are aimed to be hidden, the problems gradually grow and after a while, the solution will become unsolvable. The situation we are in today is an indication of this.
As it will be remembered months ago, the news that the potatoes and onions produced by our farmers remained untouched, because they were handed out by the producers at prices far from meeting the farmers' labor, was reflected in the media. In fact, we know that 4 kilos of potatoes are wanted to be bought for one lira. However, at the point we have reached today, the news that the state will buy the potatoes and onions in the hands of the farmers and distribute them to the needy are repeated like good news. If this job had been done by some people before the products were stacked in warehouses, I think it would be a remedy for the trouble.
As a result, we can say that there is a need to find solutions to the problems in time rather than hiding the existing problems. Especially if the products produced by the farmer remain in their hands for a year, they cannot be found to plant the products in question the following year. As such, we will give our farmers the money we see a lot to the farmers of the countries in question through imports from other countries.
Especially by saying that the numbers of hunger and poverty lines announced every month do not reflect the truth by the rulers, they will not be able to find a solution to the issue, on the other hand, making some ideological evaluations by explaining some exaggerated figures according to the conditions of the country does not find a solution to the issue. As such, it is necessary to inform the society with real numbers in all areas of life. If this is not done, our people cannot confront the realities of the country, as well as the perception that whichever side is loud, what they say is the truth. In other words, whoever shouts the most, it feels like what they say is true. As a result, there is confusion in the society. Nobody has a clear idea of what the truth is, what should happen.
