The heart wants to give good news and share the common joy that will occur in the society. However, the pessimism that exists in the society is becoming more and more widespread due to the negative news reflected in the media one after another.

For example, the relevant people say that they are against interest at every opportunity, that they will reduce the interest rate to single digits as soon as possible, and beyond that, they will reset it to zero. These statements give hope, especially against the approach of fighting interest. For example, the Treasury and Finance Minister Nabati's statements at every opportunity that the inflation will decrease to single digits in history or something, and when the announced date comes, one inevitably loses confidence in the concerned people, let alone the decrease in inflation.

Finally, in a statement he made, Mr. Nebati emphasized that economic practices are on the right track, saying, "Our economy model is on the agenda of the world."

However, on the day that this statement was reflected in the media, there were news in the newspapers that banks were making high profits. The headlines of these news were as follows:

“The 9-month profit of the banks has exceeded 286 billion liras.”

The same news was published in another newspaper, “Banks achieved record revenues in nine months. The headlines such as "Banks' profits have increased fivefold" or "Banks' profits have increased by 402 percent" stood out.

The banking sector made a profit of 56.9 billion in the same period of 2021. In other words, all interest rate cuts, even by order, increased the profits of the banks. Don't ask how it happened. The promises made, and beyond that, the evaluations made do not produce results like the one at the table, because what is said always shows one dimension of the business, and the event is not looked at in its entirety.

Considering that there is a large amount of foreign capital in the banking sector, the fact that the banking sector has increased its profits by 5 times in one year indicates that the profit of the global capital in our country has increased at that rate. In short, those who have money earn in our country, those who do not are getting poorer.

In short, banks take from the poor and carry capital to the rich. In this respect, it does not seem possible for an externally dependent economic structure to work in favor of the people of the country.

Moreover, those who show the reduction of interest rates by the Central Bank as an example to the fight against interest rates should at least abandon this assessment. Because the decrease in the interest rates of the Central Bank is not reflected in our people.

In fact, the Central Bank's lowering of interest rates reduces the interest rate of loans given to other banks from the Central Bank, but this is not reflected in consumer loans of low-income people. Because although banks give the money they receive with low interest rates to the market with 25-30% interest, when the expense items are added, our people are impoverished day by day through banks.

I have conveyed all this to show how the words of our managers, who do not leave the anti-interest to anyone, reflect on the market. Because global capital exploits the people of our country as well as the whole world. It does this not directly, but mostly through the banks in which it is a shareholder. As a result, the poor of my people get poorer, while the rich get richer.

In this respect, instead of rejoicing that foreign capital is coming to our country, it is necessary to save our country from being condemned to foreign capital and to implement an economic model focused on production. Apart from that, all that has been said serves this mechanism that works against our people. In short, the economic system being implemented is the model of “Those who has the money win and the rest do whatever they want!”.
