Mr. President and AK Party Chairman Erdogan, drawing attention to the fact that the family has been under threat recently, states that they will stop the threat to the family with the constitutional amendment to be made. It is impossible to say no to these things. However, there are also questions that come to mind.

For example, the fact that the constitutional amendment, which was brought to the agenda to prevent threats to the family and some restrictions on the headscarf, suddenly became a step to protect the family, and the presentation of the issue from this aspect, inevitably comes to mind, "Are the threats to the family related to the practices of the last days? Aren't you the ones who have ruled this country for 20 years? Wasn't it necessary to see this threat years ago and take measures accordingly?" brings questions.

It is possible to multiply the questions, but I do not want to prolong the conversation. Because it seems that the AK Party does not take the responsibility of any fault or mistake about all the economic and social problems and turmoils we experience in our country. They act and make statements as if they are not the rulers of the country.

President Erdoğan states that the family institution is primarily under threat, saying, “With the latest constitutional amendment, which we are preparing to propose, we will be putting a barrier against the threats against our family institution and human nature.”

And he states that they will make a constitutional amendment to prevent this threat. Well, if the issue could have been prevented by a constitutional amendment, why hasn't such a step been taken for years? For example, if the Constitutional amendment required to be made to increase its powers by introducing the presidential system was able to find the necessary majority in the Parliament, or if this work was carried out by going to a referendum, was the main problem of our country the parliamentary system? In short, was it necessary to wait 20 years to realize that the institution of the family was under threat? It is impossible to say yes to this question. Because if the governments have the right to expect the nation to pay back only for some of the right steps they have taken, isn't there a responsibility for the mistakes they have made or the rise of hiding the problems until a new election mood is entered when they should have done it?

Without further ado, the governments that are at work in any country other than our country are not only considered as the opposition or some evil forces responsible for negative developments that have a share in positive steps.

However, there are problems in every country and especially those in power have to face the problems. It is difficult to find healthy solutions without confronting the problems. Beyond being difficult, problems may become more insoluble as time goes on. The society and the country suffer and suffer from this.

Let me point out right away that it is not enough for the governments to face the problems. While doing this, governments should listen to all segments of the society and strive to find common solutions. Although knowing how to turn the country into a fight environment in order to devalue the entire opposition in the eyes of the society, it will be beneficial in a short time, but it will be up to the government, not just the opposition, to pay the price for this in a long time.

Of course, contacting the opposition should not only be aimed at ensuring the acceptance of an offer they have brought. Isn't it necessary to act not with the understanding that I stopped by people who have been declared terrorists for months and years, but knowing that they are under the same roof with different thoughts? If you are declaring what you have been in arms for a while as politics, you are the homeland, and if you try to act together from time to time, you will not have credibility.
