The program, which was moderated by Dr. Murat Yıldız on the Zoom platform, was attended by academics from various universities and young people doing academic studies. Addressing the participants, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya touched upon the historical processes of thought traditions in the context of knowledge and reason.
“MODERN WORLD REMOVES THE CREATOR FROM SCIENCE”
Reminding that science cannot be shaped independently of the creator, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya said, "Are we Muslims going to take scientific definitions that are not based on a creator imposed on us by the West, or will we sit, work and labor and define a new civilization of scientific thought in every field based on a creator from our own roots? Scientific definitions of Aristotle and his time made by scholars, although they were fed seriously by Muslim scientists who lived in the 12th-16th centuries, they did not refer to these scientists by committing immorality and did not show them as a source. The modern world removes the creator from science, therefore it walks on one leg, therefore, depressions increase in our world and lead people to a process of self-destruction.”
The seminar ended with questions and answers.
