While 74 provinces of the loan and deposit ratio exceeded one hundred percent, only 7 provinces available to meet the total deposits in the first half the amount of credit in Turkey. Siirt with 346.4 percent credit/deposit ratio in the ranking of provinces attracting more loans than deposits, Erzurum with 285.5 percent and Kahramanmaras with 263.1 percent led the head.
ONLY 7 PROVINCES MEET DEPOSITS LOANS
According to the data of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA), in the first half of 2019, the total number of provinces covering total deposits and total cash loans was; 74 provinces used more loans than their deposits. The loan/deposit ratio in the banking sector was 117.2 percent at the end of June. Siirt attracted the top of the ranking of provinces attracting more credit than deposits. Credit/deposit ratio in Siirt, 346.4 percent, 285.5 percent in Erzurum, Kahramanmaras 263.1 percent and 251.8 percent in Ardahan took place.

Among the provinces that are capable of deposits, Tunceli comes first with 69.6 percent, Aksaray with 88.9 percent, Isparta with 90.4 percent, Zonguldak with 91 percent, Muğla with 94.1 percent and 94 percent, respectively, 3 with Nevsehir and 95 percent Erzincan is followed.
CREDIT INCREASE IN HIGHEST ELAZIĞ
At the end of last year, cash loan volume was 2 trillion 440 billion TL. In the first half of 2019, cash loan volume increased by 6.6 percent and reached 2 trillion 603 billion TL.
In the six months of the year, Elazığ, Siirt, Çankırı, Zonguldak and Balıkesir were listed as the provinces that increased their loans the fastest. Karabük, Rize, Yalova, Hatay and Bolu were registered as the slowest provinces in terms of credit growth. While the rate of credit increase was 14.7 percent in Elazığ, 13.2 percent in Siirt, 13.1 percent in Çankırı, 12.9 percent in Zonguldak and 12 percent in Balıkesir.
