It is not long before the national defense of the Milli Gazete, which has been fighting hard to prevent Zionism from dominating the Cyprus lands, triumphed. Our newspaper, which interfered with the plans of Zionism in Cyprus with its persistent and effective publications, mobilized the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) state. The amendment proposal for the 'Acquisition of Immovable Property and Long-Term Rental Law' presented by the Iskele Deputy of the National Unity Party (UBP), which is in power in the Cyprus, was recently published in the Official Gazette. If the said proposal is approved, a restriction will be imposed on the purchase of immovable property by foreigners on the territory of the TRNC.

CITIZENS CAN PROVIDE OPINIONS AND SUGGESTIONS

While the proposal presented by UBP İskele Deputy Yasemin Öztürk to the TRNC Assembly was published in the Official Gazette in the past few days, citizens will be able to present their opinions and suggestions regarding the proposal in the next 15 days. The proposal of the law is to limit the purchase of immovable property by foreigners in the TRNC.

The following statements are used in its justification:

“It is an objective fact that the territory of the TRNC, which is an island country, is limited. In addition, the increase in real estate prices and the depreciation of the Turkish Lira (TL) cause citizens to not be able to use their right to housing, especially young people.”
