Parliament continues its legislative work. Last week, due to the lack of "meeting quorum" in the General Assembly of the Parliament, the law proposal containing an additional raise for civil servants and pensioners could not be accepted. The proposal is planned to be enacted this week.
 
In addition, two separate cases are expected to be brought to the agenda regarding the lifting of HDP MP Semra Güzel's parliamentary immunity.
 
Turkish Grand National Assembly continues its legislative work. The bill, which includes an additional hike to civil servants and pensioners who did not catch up last week, is expected to become law this week. In the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, which will start its weekly working hours on Tuesday, the debates on the Bill of Law on Making Amendments to the Private Pension Savings and Investment System Law and Some Laws and the Decree Law No. 375 will continue.
 

ADDITIONAL RISES ARE EXPECTED TO BE LEGAL

 
With the said regulation, the increase rate to be applied in the salaries and wages of public officials for the period of 1 January-30 June 2022 will be increased from 5 percent to 7,5 percent. The monthly minimum payment amount, which is foreseen as 1,500 TL for those who receive income and monthly payments, will be increased to 2 thousand 500 TL. The President will be authorized to determine the scope of the real person who will benefit from the support by calculating the support amount to be paid in Turkish Lira time deposit and participation accounts, to bring the final account opening date forward or to extend it until 31 December 2023. BOTAS will be able to apply a gradual natural gas sales price on a provincial or regional basis, taking into account regional and climatic conditions. The state contribution rate, which is 25 percent in the Private Pension System, will be increased to 30 percent.
 

TEACHING PROFESSIONAL LAW OFFER TO BE DISCUSSED

 
It is also envisaged that the negotiations on the Proposal of the Teaching Profession Law will begin at the General Assembly. With the regulation, the teaching profession will be divided into three career steps: "teacher", "expert teacher" and "head teacher" after the candidate teaching period. Those who receive the title of specialist teacher or head teacher will be awarded a degree separately for each title. The education compensation paid to specialist teachers will be increased from 20 percent to 60 percent, and the education compensation paid to head teachers will be increased from 40 percent to 120 percent. Additional indicators of teachers working in the first degree staff will be increased to 3,600. This article will enter into force on January 15, 2023.
 

AGENDA IN THE COMMISSION; EQUITY AND TAX

 
The Planning and Budget Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey will meet tomorrow and discuss the Bill of Law Amending the Tax Procedure Law and the Corporate Tax Law, which brings tax exemptions to corporations that convert their assets into Turkish Lira. On the other hand, the Joint Justice-Constitutional Commission will discuss two separate cases regarding the lifting of HDP Diyarbakır Deputy Semra Güzel's parliamentary immunity.
