‘Memur-Sen’ (Public Servants Union) Chairman Ali Yalçın stated that after the minimum wage was determined, an agreement was reached with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security for an additional increase to be reflected in the January salary of public servants.
In the statement of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, it was said, "An additional protocol will be put in order regarding the collective agreement concerning civil servants and civil servant retirees, and it will be made to include all our public personnel who take care of all health personnel, not just doctors."
2 YEARS INCREASE 31 PERCENT
According to the collective agreement signed in August, the civil servants were agreed to be 5+7 percent and inflation difference for 2022, and 8+6 percent and inflation difference for 2023. Thus, the cumulative increase covering the 2022-2023 period was 31 percent. In the statement of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, it was stated that "Work continues to complete the regulation that will eliminate the impact of fluctuations in the economy on public employees."
