Adultery, which is the main building block of society, the greatest danger and immorality for the family, was opened during a period of power that defined itself as conservative. Thus, adultery was removed from the scope of crime for the first time in the history of the Republic. Günter Verheugen, member of the EU Commission responsible for enlargement, said: "The Prime Minister assured the abolition of adultery. no obstacle in front of Turkey now," he summarizes.

"The EU suppressed, we removed the adultery from being a crime, we did it wrong"

But still no step has been taken...

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, on the question of a journalist on February 20, 2018, said:

Child abuse, of course, these can never be forgiven, can not be ignored. 6 of our friends have started their studies on this subject. I also think that the issue of adultery would be very, very accurate, because this society has a different position in terms of spiritual values. In the EU process, this is self-criticism, I have to say, we have made a mistake in this regard, which also includes the regulation of adultery, harassment, and so on, perhaps we should consider them within the same scope.
