Last day, when Israeli President Isaac Herzog stated that they were ready for a new "humanitarian break" in the Gaza Strip to ensure the release of Israeli prisoners, HAMAS responded, "We refuse to exchange hostages under Israeli attacks."
ISRAEL FALLS INTO A MILITARY DEADLINE
The military impasse and pressure from domestic public opinion forced the Zionist administration to take one more step towards a ceasefire. The Palestinian ambassador to Vienna announced that talks between Israel and HAMAS regarding a cessation of hostilities have resumed.
INTERMEDIARY COUNTRIES; QATAR, EGYPT AND AMERICA
Palestine's Ambassador to Vienna, Salah Abdel Shafi, said in a statement to Sputnik that ceasefire talks between Israel and HAMAS have restarted in the Gaza Strip, but the positions of the parties are far from each other.
Shafi said in his statement, "Yes, this is mostly news in the media. But the truth is; negotiations continue. There are mediators. Chief among these are Qatar, Egypt and the Americans. So yes, negotiations have resumed, but the positions are far apart," he said.
