The development areas in the villages, which will become profit areas for TOKİ and real estate agents, will be completely taken from the villagers and given away to rich people.
 
Production will stop completely in the villages, whose agricultural production has already suffered greatly due to the decrease in the village population.
 
A huge scandal broke out in the villages that were converted into neighborhoods by the Metropolitan Law.
 
While the development areas around the villages whose legal entity was abolished were quietly transferred to TOKİ, TOKİ put these lands belonging to the villagers up for sale.
 
Putting the lands that were previously converted from pasture into Treasury for sale by TOKİ will not only deal a big blow to agricultural production in those villages, but also make the villages completely a profit area for real estate agents.

Pointing out that the residential areas of the villages belong to the villagers, the villagers want the Metropolitan Law to be canceled as soon as possible and a return to the Village Law No. 442 in order to protect the production areas in the villages.

Villagers in Ankara Polatlı came together in Polatlı's Yassıhöyük village to protest the quiet transfer of village development areas to TOKİ and the sale of these lands by TOKİ.
 
Pointing out that village settlement areas were turned into a source of income and that villages were also put up for sale after the factories, they decided to make a mass press statement in front of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and the parliament in Ankara in order to correct this mistake as soon as possible.
 
Pointing out that the village development areas belong to the villagers, the villagers emphasized that they were not able to buy their own lands due to the similar value increases and reacted, "Those who have money from Istanbul, Ankara, Qatar will come and buy these lands of ours."
 

VILLAGERS CAME TOGETHER AND HAD A MEETING IN YASSIHÖYÜK VILLAGE

 
Agricultural engineer Önder Kayran, who made a speech at the meeting held in Yassıhöyük village of Polatlı, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, stated that the villages that were made into neighborhoods within the scope of the Metropolitan Law were tried to be turned into toys of real estate agents and rich people who do not know how to account for their money.
 

VILLAGES WILL BE SURROUNDED AND SOLD PLOT BY PLOT!

 
"The villagers, who were deceived with the promise that they would benefit more from municipal services by building a neighborhood, are first surrounded by their villages and tried to be sold, parcel by parcel, to unidentified rich people. It is not taken into account at all how big the negative consequences this will cause right now. It is done with the logic of 'I did it and that's it.' Then it is said that we made a mistake, but unfortunately it is too late," Kayran said.
 

THE VILLAGER WILLS BE UNABLE TO CULTIVATE THEIR FIELDS

 
In accordance with the Metropolitan Law, municipalities automatically become shareholders of the deeded lands in the villages where zoning is brought. The villagers are asked to buy these municipal shares again. Moreover, there are many families in the villages who farm on land without title deeds, paying rent to the Treasury. They will be in the most difficult situation. Because in those villages they have fields but they live in their courtyards on rent. When the comparable values rise to levels where they cannot compete, they will never be able to get the title deed of those courtyards again. They will be in a position where they cannot cultivate their fields.
 
The areas surrounding the village are being parceled out and tried to be sold at auction to real estate agents and unidentified rich people, in a way that will upset the comparable values in the villages. One of our villages, which initiated a court process before the village headman in response to the gravity of the situation, was again put up for sale in a spectacular manner, this time by a real estate agent who is a TOKİ affiliate.
