Two days after the US opened its embassy in Jerusalem, the Central American country Guatemala opened its embassy in Jerusalem.
The Central American country announced that Guatemala had opened its embassy in Jerusalem two days after the US. The opening ceremony of the Embassy was attended by Guatemala President Jimmy Morales and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Guatemala was one of the few countries that followed the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
