Anatolian Youth Association (AGD) commemorated Bosnia martyr Selami Yurdan with a program on the 29th anniversary of his death. In the program organized by the Bitlis branch and attended by the brothers of the martyr, prayers were read for Selami Yurdan and the love of martyrdom was expressed.

It has been 29 years since the martyrdom of Selami Yurdan, who fought together with the Bosnians against the Serbs to put an end to the human tragedy in Bosnia.

A program was organized by the Anatolian Youth Association for Selami Yurdan, known as the 'Martyr of Bosnia'. Martyr Selami Yurdan was commemorated with prayers in the program held in his hometown of Bitlis. Martyr Selami Yurdan's brother Recai Yurdan and Hayati Yurdan also participated in the program.

AGD Bitlis Branch President Abdulrahim Doğru emphasized the importance of martyrdom in his speech in the program. Right, reminding that Bosnia is the honor and dignity of the ummah, he stated that the memory of martyr Selami Yurdan is an important legacy for Muslim youth.

"If His Excellency Feyzullah al-Ensari and His Excellency Abdurrahman Ghazi came from Medina to help Muslims, the martyr Selami Yurdan also went there to help the oppressed in Bosnia, and he was the first martyr to leave Turkey in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bosnia would have been an occupied place today had it not been for the superior efforts and enthusiastic stance of the Muslims before us. If we do not put forth the necessary efforts for the religion of Islam and do not fulfill our duties for the dominion of goodness and truth, we will not be able to leave a good legacy to the next generations," Doğru said.
