Speaking at the meeting, AGD President Salih Turhan said that they would celebrate the conquest of Istanbul in Hagia Sophia and Gebze at Morning Pray on May 12
The Anatolian Youth Association (AGD) and the National Youth Foundation (MGV) Extended Regional and Branch Presidents' Meeting were held in Ankara. Speaking at the AGD Headquarters, AGD and MGV Chairman Salih Turhan talked about agenda and young people. Turhan, underlining the fact that two currents have taken place in the entire Islamic geography, said "The first is Westernism and the second is racism. Our intellectuals who were educated from the West and returned to this geographical region have moved away from Islam. Our young people, who were raised by their influence, moved away from Islam. This geographical distance from Islam has been shattered in the wake of the First and Second World Wars. Imperialist forces drawn our borders, England, France draw. The US, England or France established military bases in every corner of our lands. Our school curricula intervene until the present. All this new fragmentation of seeds, such as lack of fragmentation and lack of division, have been introduced, resulting in ethical and sectarian hostilities. What are we doing now? We tell the younger generations about Islam, that is, good, beautiful, truthful, useful and justice."
THERE WILL BE NO ONE THAT WE COULD NOT REACH
"On 12 May we will pray Fajr in Hagia Sophia" Turhan continued: "We will celebrate the conquest of Istanbul in Gebze again on May 12th. We will have summer events from June 18th to August 18th. In primary and secondary education we are almost in the last month of the term. The last time we never touched, never went, never greeted, we had more difficulty reaching them. It is time for all students to invite us for our summer events. It's time we will have interviews with the family."
WE WILL OVERCOME THE ISSUES
Turhan, emphasizing the importance of the Milli Görüş movement, said: "Milli Görüş is a project to remove the problem of mind fragmentation of Muslims. As long as mind is fragmented, it will not be possible to recognize both the revelation and the world we live in, nor to come from the tops of the subjects we are in. Racist approaches, regionalist approaches, sectarian approaches, monotheistic approaches, mind is the result of fragmentation."
