The Anatolian Youth Association (AGD) gave a support statement for the Constitutional amendment proposal regarding the headscarf and family, which was submitted to the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Making a statement on the subject, AGD Chairman Salih Turhan said, “We express our support for the work of the Constitution with the hope that all traces of the February 28 process will be erased as soon as possible and that our nation will return to its spiritual roots.”
Anatolian Youth Association (AGD) made a statement of support for the Constitutional amendment proposal submitted by the Justice and Development Party (AKP) to the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly on the provision of headscarves and family unity. A series of amendments including the headscarf and family unity are proposed in the “Law Amending Articles 24 and 41 of the Constitution”, prepared by the AKP group and submitted to the Speaker of the Assembly with a total of 336 signatures, together with the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP). The law amendment proposal, which the Good (Iyi) Party announced that it would support in the past few days, also received support from the Saadet Party.

Chairman Salih Turhan announced that they support the Constitutional amendment proposal regarding the headscarf and family presented to the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Making a statement on the subject, Turhan said, “The persecution of believers reached its peak during the February 28 process and a virtual reality was created in the minds of some with the dream that it would last for a thousand years. In the current process; Studies for a constitutional amendment that introduces the headscarf and defines the unity of family/marriage have been initiated. We express our support for the work of the Constitution with the hope that all traces of the February 28 process will be erased as soon as possible and that our nation will return to its spiritual roots.”
