The long-awaited EYT regulation was presented to the Presidency of the Assembly. It is expected to be voted on in the parliament in the coming days. However, the absence of a regulation regarding the gradual premium application in the previous regulation, which is not included in the regulation, will pave the way for new grievances. While some of the people who will retire with the EYT regulation will retire with 5 thousand premium days, some of them will be able to retire with 5 thousand 975 premium days. In this case, those who suffer because of age will now experience a new victimization due to the premium day.
THE RIGHT TO PENSION WILL BE OBTAINED WITHOUT AGE REQUIREMENT
While the bill for the EYT is presented to the Parliament, it is expected to be discussed in the plan budget commission on Thursday, February 2nd. Recently, Justice and Development Party (AKP) Group Deputy Chairman Muhammet Emin Akbaşoğlu announced the details of the bill. In the statement, it was pointed out that the right to retirement will be achieved in 2023 regardless of age. If there is no regulation regarding the gradual premium day that was put into effect in 1999 regulation, those who were age victims will be stuck on the premium day.
EYES ON VICTIMIZATIONS THAT WILL OCCUR AFTER LEGALIZATION
Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, stated that the premium day will be 5 thousand days in the previous statements, but if there is no article regarding the premium day in practice, those who are waiting for the age will wait for the gradual premium day requirement to be fulfilled between 5 thousand and 5 thousand 975 days. While this situation drew the reaction of the victims, it caused comments that Minister Bilgin's promise was not fulfilled.
