Agricultural inputs increase in July

The agricultural input price index increased by 6.56 percent on a monthly basis and 34.32 percent on an annual basis in July. The subgroups with the highest monthly increase were energy and fats with 23.76 percent, and veterinary expenditures with 18.8 percent.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the Agricultural Input Price Index (Agriculture-GFE) data for July.
 
Accordingly, the index increased by 6.56 percent in July compared to the previous month, 21.29 percent compared to December last year, 34.32 percent compared to the same month last year and 69.23 percent compared to the twelve-month averages.
 
In the main groups, an increase of 5.71 percent in the index of goods and services used in agriculture and an increase of 11.9 percent in the index of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment was recorded compared to the previous month.
 
Compared to the same period last year, there was a 29.17 percent increase in the index of goods and services used in agriculture and a 76.25 percent increase in the index of goods and services that contribute to agricultural investment.
 

THE HIGHEST MONTHLY INCREASE IS IN ENERGY

 
Compared to the annual Agriculture-GFE, 4 subgroups showed lower changes and 7 subgroups showed higher changes. The subgroups with the lowest annual increase were fertilizer and soil improvers with 2.26 percent, and energy and oils with 13.2 percent.
 
The subgroups with the highest annual increase compared to last year were recorded as veterinary expenditures with 95.89 percent and other goods and services with 89.23 percent.
 
Compared to the monthly Agriculture-GFE, 4 subgroups showed lower changes and 7 subgroups showed higher changes.
 
The subgroups with the lowest increase compared to last month were agricultural chemicals with 1.65 percent, and seeds and planting materials with 2.28 percent.
 
On the other hand, the subgroups with the highest monthly increase were energy and oils with 23.76 percent and veterinary expenditures with 18.8 percent.
 
The only subgroup that showed a decrease compared to the previous month was animal feed, with 0.38 percent.
