Highlights from Davutoğlu's speech:
Within a few days I would like to share my opinion on the comments made about my person. I always acted in principle. In academic life and in public life.
First of all, in order for any idea or political attitude to be legitimate, it is essential to protect the honor, the soul, the freedom of thought and belief of the human being. Law and justice have not been established. We are in the understanding that merit and transparency and accountability are realized. Politics and intellectual activities are these principles that are meaningful.
AK Party leaving the stage of history with the founding principles of a turning point for Turkey. This move towards corruption, poverty and bans has been a source of hope. I also worked hard day and night for these principles to pass. We owe the nation. For the AK Party, which I consider this political existence to be a meaningful decisive move, I have abandoned the positions that no fan would consider abandoning. I will not hesitate in any sacrifice made. I reacted with patience in all kinds of vindication.
