AKP and MHP do not want corruption to be investigated

The motion submitted in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) to investigate corruption allegations was rejected by the votes of Justice and Development Party (AKP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP).

Good (IYI) Party Kayseri Deputy Dursun Ataş reminded that 20 years of Justice and Development Party (AKP) rule once again promised 3Y when going to the elections, and said, “The bribery, poverty and corruption, which is unprecedented in the history of Turkey, are your own work.” 
 
The corruption allegations that have increased in recent years have been brought to the agenda of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). Some advisers were dismissed from their duties, especially after names close to the government came to the fore with corruption and the names of some of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's advisers came to the fore with corruption. The motion submitted by the Parliament to investigate the increasing corruption allegations the previous day was rejected by the votes of AKP and MHP deputies. 
 

“CORRUPTION IS YOUR OWN WORK” 

 
The research proposal of the Good Party to investigate corruption allegations and to determine the measures to be taken to combat corruption was rejected by the AKP and MHP votes in the General Assembly of the TBMM. IYI Party Kayseri Deputy Dursun Ataş stated that when the election is near, the 20-year AKP government had promised 3Y again and he said, “In Turkey, unprecedented in its history, bribery, poverty and corruption are your own work. If the meat smells, you salt it, what do you do if it smells salt? Unfortunately, salt stinks under AKP rule. Corruption is rife all over the country today.”
