The Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) started with fistfights between Justice and Development Party (AKP) and opposition deputies in the 2023 budget negotiations. While the atmosphere of tension continued in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, after a fistfight between AKP Bursa Deputy Zafer Işık and Good (IYI) Party Trabzon Deputy Hüseyin Örs, the IYI Party decided to leave the General Assembly when AKP deputies spoke. While this was the case, the harsh attitude of AKP deputies, shortly before the presidential and parliamentary elections, was evaluated as "the last performance for the deputy position".

MPs of AKP STARTED TO TALK MORE

Shortly before the parliamentary elections, some deputies who want to become a deputy again want to stand out in the budget. While the AKP deputies, who did not take the floor in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly before, took the podium more in the 2023 budget, the number of AKP deputies for those who made a press statement increased. Opposition party deputies stated that the reason for the increase in tension in the General Assembly was the "coming up elections".

THOSE FOLLOWING 3 PERIOD DO NOT ATTEND THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Opposition party deputies say that AKP deputies are "trying to prevent talking about the budget and trying to stand out" by creating tensions. At the same time, it is noteworthy that some deputies and ministers who are stuck with the 3-term rule in budget negotiations do not participate in the work of the Parliamentary General Assembly.
