The scandalous allegations that Gaziantep Şahinbey Municipality's Mayor fromJustice And Development Party (AKP), Mehmet Tahmazoğlu made zoning irregularities over his own land and the land of an AKP deputy came to the fore.

DOP SHARE TAKEN FROM ANOTHER LAND

According to the allegations, while the zoning arrangement was made in Yamaçtepe, one of the new settlement centers of the Şahinbey District, the Development Readjustment Share (DOP) was not received from the 3,536 square meters of land claimed to belong to the current Mayor. It was claimed that the DOP share in question was taken from another land 3 kilometers away from the existing land.

HE HAS OWNED THE MUNICIPALITY’S LAND

Another scandalous claim about Mayor Tahmazoğlu came to the fore. Accordingly, it was claimed that a land belonging to the municipality, which was opened for development in the Yamaçtepe region, was transferred to Tahmazoğlu's ownership.

It was claimed that the property of 7,425, block 1 registered in the name of Şahinbey Municipality, has been registered with the Land Registry Certificate dated December 10, 2017 and numbered 45,278 was passed to Şahinbey Mayor Mehmet Tahmazoğlu.

STRINGS PULLED FOR ATTORNEY TOO!

The allegations about zoning irregularities did not end there. According to the allegations, the land of an AKP Deputy in the same place is shown next to the land of the Mayor, and that land is given to a construction company in return for a flat. After the company started construction in that region, the number of floors is increased to 12 in the zoning plan, which was 7 floors.

PARLIAMENTARY QUESTION FAILED TO BE ANSWERED!

The issue was also brought to the agenda of the City Council. A parliamentary question was submitted by Şahinbey Municipality Council members Uğur Kalkan, Hasan Şencan, Yılmaz Kireç, Mahmut Öztürk and Mahmut Demirel regarding the allegations. However, instead of answering the questions, the municipality sent a press release they had shared before to the council members who submitted the parliamentary question.
