The former mayor’s daughter Tuğçe Atilla was first appointed in 2015, but never went to work until March 29, 2019 as a Ministry of Interior Affairs inspection discovered.
Tuğçe Atilla’s name was not on the roster, but she was registered as an executive assistant, an engineer and an operator in the municipality, and received a regular monthly salary.
The ministry now demands that Atilla pay back the 251,803 liras she received unlawfully.
