Algeria and Iran to strengthen cooperation

Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboune and his Iranian counterpart Ibrahim Reisi agreed to develop joint cooperation between the two countries.

According to the statement made by the Algerian Presidency, Tebboune and its chief spoke on the phone on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
 
The two Presidents agreed to enhance joint cooperation and speed up the holding of the joint high committee meeting between the two countries.
 
Tebboune conveyed his Eid congratulations to the President of Iran and the Iranian people, wishing them well-being and prosperity.
 
On the other hand, the President congratulated the Algerian people on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of Algeria's Independence Day, and congratulated Algeria for taking office as a non-permanent non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
 
Algeria, Guyana, South Korea, Sierra Leone and Slovenia were elected on 6 June to serve as non-permanent members of the UNSC from 2024 to 2025.
 
The first joint committee meeting between the two countries was held in Tehran in 2010 and the second in Algeria in 2015, and it was decided to improve relations between the two sides in the fields of health, energy, foreign relations and economy.
