DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan, who met with the journalists the previous evening, stated that the parties at the 6-party table agreed on the roadmap of the transition process and the creation of a common policy in the main policy areas. Pointing out that it is important to win the election in the first round, Babacan pointed out that if the elections go to the second round, the government can "make a fuss".

Deva Party Chairman Ali Babacan met with a group of journalists the previous evening and answered their questions. At the meeting, which was also attended by Milli Gazete Ankara Representative Mustafa Yılmaz, he stated that the leaders at the table decided to meet more frequently, consult more frequently, provide a quick solution to developments that cause misunderstandings, and give a joint response on controversial issues. Babacan stated that the will of the leaders at the table of 6 to work together is at a serious level.

6-TABLE WILL BE IN MORE CONTACT

Responding to the question asked about the candidacy and the table dispersed discussions Babacan pointed out that there was a decision taken about the frequent meetings of the leaders at the 6-party table meeting, and said, “There was a short evaluation. Let's be careful, let's call each other when there is a problem, let's talk on the phone when there is an explanation that will cause misunderstanding. More frequent meetings, more frequent consultations, quick resolution of developments that cause misunderstandings. It was said that if questions arise in controversial areas such as the presidential candidacy, let's give the same answers. It was evaluated whether we would get together more often. It was also decided to look at the calendar of the general presidents and to meet more often until now. It does not have a named calendar.”

EVEN IF WE WIN WITH 50,1 PERCENT IN THE ELECTION, THEY MAKE A FUSS

Stating that nothing was discussed about the presidential candidate, Babacan pointed out that it is important to win differently in the elections, and said, “If we do not prepare well, if we do not convince our citizens, people will prefer the bad they know, rather than something complicated that they do not know. We need to clarify the table. Governments, who see that their power is lost, can sometimes take the wrong path. We must consider those possibilities. The way to do this is to get a solid result at the ballot box. If the result is 49,9 percent to 50,1 percent in the election, they will be whining. They have done it before and they will do it again.”

“NOBODY HAS WISDOM WANTS TO BREAK, TO INJURY THIS TOGETHERNESS”

“This election will only be won when we come together. Otherwise, the work will go towards a picture where the current government will be re-elected. This is no joke. There is a science called mathematics. There is an obligation to come together to win the election. If our joint presidential candidate acts against his previous signature when he wins, there will be a serious trust problem. But no one in their right mind wants to spoil it or injure it. Because the common will to solve the country's problems will be a big event. Let's make joint decisions, put them into written texts, and ensure things are prone to conflict in the future. Let's not leave any space,” he added.
