A distinguished and valuable being, a human being is conscious of the characteristics that define him, of being a human being and living its necessities. Consciousness is the phenomenon of self-knowledge, weighing and understanding.
The definition of human as a size is more physiological. Ibrahim Hakkı Hodja makes some evaluations between human physiology and character in his work called "Marifetname". This is a very interesting situation. The lightness of man defines the characteristics based on strife and mischief, or rather, the characters. This is the result of a spiritual view.
Man reveals himself through his actions. Environments, family culture and lineage are also effective in the formation of human character. A person who grows up in a family and environment environment shows his/her differences positively or negatively in every environment. This manifests itself from the street to the neighbourhood, town, village, county and city.
The current situation has seriously changed the neighborhood and environment phenomenon. The friendships of children who do not go out to the streets cannot be mentioned. Their circle of friends is now in the virtual and digital world, and it is very limited. It is impossible to talk about physical contact, touching, quarreling, quarrelsome and loving relationships. We are talking about a robotic human type. Sexuality, robberies, deceptions, frauds are another facet of this world. People are always on edge here. Since there is no direct contact, life turns into a fiction and its mediocrity.
The ancients understood and knew people according to cities. According to him, there would be people in cultural and intellectual environments. “Istanbul Gentleman” was a unique definition of “Istanbulian”. The children of the family environment of a scholar, predominantly of people, were brought up accordingly. The children of that family were, by nature, under surveillance. Morally. When it was said, "You are the master's grandson or child," the child would suddenly become heavy. We experienced this in the shadow of my deceased grandfather's spiritual existence. We had not seen him, but as a child, our every behavior was under self-control. I can say that we matured at a young age. Our place in the assemblies and guests was different. This was not an advantage, but a necessity of a moral responsibility. “A rose grows out of a rosewood”, “wheat comes out of wheat” etc. While these positives were being expressed, opposites and negatives would not be in question. There was no need for it. Life was lived on positivity.
The phenomenon of social media, which is one of the realities of today, simplifies and lightens people's personalities. The contradictions between people's appearances and their behaviors show themselves. With their appearance, lewdness and mediocrity harm one's spiritual weight.
People have the right to have fun in their inner world. Man expresses his energy in some way. Staying introverted causes psychological tensions.
Timings are also important. Of course, he does what is necessary in a situation where one can feel comfortable. Sports and some activities are necessary both mentally and physically for people to relax, consume their energies and get rid of tensions.
Human life has limits and spaces. If their own freedoms affect or limit the freedoms of others, if they negate it, it would be an injustice and a mistake.
Human lightness, mediocrity and simplicity do not elevate a person, they belittle him.
You lean on a person and say, "It's like a mountain". This defines the trust in him. Both its reliability and robustness.
The "mountain" is called, the great power that is fixed, unmoving and leaning. The strength of these forces is to a certain extent. When this mortal and finite world, its place and time comes, it is stated in the Qur'an that the mountains will be blown away at the time of doomsday. The power of the most reliable thing is also up to a point.
Man is on a slippery ground. If he has a moral responsibility power on his feet, when he is healthy, he will show his place with his weight. He is trusted. The playful, frivolous, ordinary have as much dignity as themselves. It becomes worthless after a while. The precious man is the heavy one.
