Memur-Sen Chairman Ali Yalçın, Diyanet-Sen Chairman Ali Yıldız and board members, earthquake victims religious officials and their families attended the program organized for earthquake victims and their families in Ankara.
Speaking in the program, "Diyanet-Sen" Chairman Ali Yıldız stated that as "Diyanet-Sen" and "Memur-Sen", they went to the region from the first moment of the earthquake.
"As Diyanet-Sen, we have not left our religious officials alone in our cities that have been exposed to earthquakes since the first day. In line with the plans we made on the morning of February 6, we visited all earthquake zones as Diyanet-Sen and Memur-Sen starting from the 3rd day, starting from Osmaniye, Adana and Hatay. Of course, even though the ambulance sirens make us ache as we go to the earthquake zone, the fact that the aid convoys are so many that they block the highways is refreshing. Here we thank our God once again. It is good that God has created us among this nation", he said.
YALÇIN: “I WITNESSED THE STRENGTH OF RELIGIOUS OFFICIALS”
Making a speech in the program, Ali Yalçın, Chairman of Memur-Sen, said, "May God not let a similar incident happen to our country again. As a country, we went through a great test and lost 50 thousand of our people. We lost 21 managers from our organization. We had 100 thousand wounded, but thank God we did not lose our faith and we are trying to stand up by helping each other and we are striving to make tomorrow better than today. I would like to thank our Chairman of Diyanet-Sen for his response to those who asked what religious officials were doing there. No psychologist out there can ease the pain of those people. In this sense, I witnessed the efforts of our friends who were there as religious officials."
