In the new year, it is expected that contracted staff, Retirement Age Victims (EYT) and headscarf proposals will come to the parliamentary commission. It is stated that EYT and the contracted staff will be completed on January 15, while the headscarf proposal will continue until February.
The 2023 budget marathon in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) has been completed. During the 12-day budget marathon, the budgets of 17 different ministries were discussed. The budget negotiations, which were held at an intense pace, were concluded with high tension this year as well. The Assembly is now preparing for a new marathon. The three issues that the Assembly is expected to focus on are those who are eagerly awaited by millions, those who are stuck in EYT, staffing arrangements for contracted employees and legal regulations on the headscarf. The proposals will come to the agenda of the Assembly in the new year and will be finalized by the commission.
EYT IS EXPECTED TO BE LEGAL ON JANUARY 15
While the work on EYT, which is one of the most important agendas of the new year, continues unabated, it is aimed to complete the work in a short time. It is stated that the proposal to be presented to the Presidency of the Assembly will become law before January 15th. Those who were insured before September 8, 1999 and completed the required number of working years and premium days for retirement will benefit from the regulation.
CONTRACTED PERSONNELS' EYES ARE ON THE TBMM
Another important agenda is the recruitment of contracted civil servants. In the regulation, which is expected to benefit 424 thousand civil servants, the condition of working for 3 years will be sought and there will be a candidate civil service period for 1 year. 227 thousand people, who were excluded from the previous regulation, will be able to transfer directly to the staff.
HEADSCARF PROPOSAL WILL COME TO THE COMMISSION
Recently, the legal and constitutional guarantee of the headscarf has come to the fore. The Constitution proposal, which was worked on by the stakeholders of the People's Alliance, was completed. It is aimed that the headscarf proposal, which will be discussed by the Commission, will be accepted in the General Assembly without the need for a referendum.
