Other healthcare workers, who stated that they were ignored, continue their work stoppage throughout the country. ‘Sağlık-Sen’ (Union) also participated in the work stoppage actions that started on Monday. Union members who quit their jobs came together in front of the hospitals and expressed their reactions. The healthcare professionals gathered in front of the hospitals stated that they would not accept the discrimination in the regulation organized in the press release they made and said, “We are against discrimination based on a raise. We are against discrimination at the legal level by the hand of politics. We are against the seeing as stepchildren, ignoring and contempt for the efforts of hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals other than physicians."

“WE ARE FORGOTTEN WHEN THE SUBJECT HAS BEEN RAISE”

In the statement, it was stated that those who applauded all healthcare workers during the heaviest days of the pandemic, hurt their conscience when it came to a raise, and the following was noted: "How quickly those days were forgotten? As for the raise, why this discrimination? Do they think they will say goodbye to the hundreds of thousands of healthcare workers by discrimination? Or do they think that by making discrimination, they will ensure work peace and increase the morale and motivation of the employees? It is not possible for this to happen with fait accompli desk decisions that are devoid of field reality. The way to gain the appreciation of hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals is clear; is to make a raise for the whole, not a part of it, in accordance with the right and fairness. Making raise some of the 1 million health workers and ignoring the rest; it does not mean anything other than undermining the peace of work and causing strife among healthcare workers. Especially if all these are wanted to be done by the responsible ministry, the situation is much worse.”
