Making statements to the Milli Gazete, the Chairman of the Association of All Specialists and Retirees (TUZED) Ömer Doğan touched upon the housing shortage experienced by the specialist sergeants who were forced to retire because they were 45 years old. Doğan said, “We demand that the retired specialist sergeants who were retired ex officio, disabled and had to retire due to the law numbered 6000 be provided with a house by quoting from the houses built by our Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKİ) general directorate throughout Turkey.”

Ömer Doğan, Chairman of the Association of All Specialists and Retirees (TUZED), drew attention to the problem experienced due to rising housing prices. Making statements to the Milli Gazete, Doğan touched upon the housing shortage experienced by the specialist sergeants who were forced to retire because they were 45 years old. “We have specialist sergeants who were forced to retire when they reached the age of 45 who served in the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) and retired ex officio. We have around 10,000, as well as about 5,000 retired specialist sergeants who suffer from the 26th article of the Law No. 6000. Due to the forced retirement of these people, many do not have a home to lay their heads on. We demand that retired specialist sergeants who are retired ex officio, disabled and forced to retire due to Law No. 6000, are provided with a house by quoting from the residences built by our TOKİ general directorate throughout Turkey. While making this request, we want it to be known that these friends are in such an expectation on the condition that they pay their wages,” Doğan added.

“WE EXPECT IT TO BE TRANSFERRED TO STAFFED STATUS”

Stating that the specialist sergeants worked under contracts and became staffed martyrs, Doğan said, “We expect and demand that the specialist sergeants be given a staffed status. Homeland defense is not a contract. In addition, our friends who were retired from the specialist sergeants ex officio due to the law numbered 6000, were in 3 and 2 degrees. These friends of ours cannot fall to the first degree and cannot benefit from 3600 additional indicators. We demand that these friends be given 1 degree."

“DO NOT LET OUR CHILDREN BE OUT”

Making a request for the children of the specialist sergeants, “As you know, the registration period for universities has started. We demand and expect the children of specialist sergeants to benefit from the social facilities, army houses, guesthouses where the children of commissioned officers and non-commissioned officers can stay. In addition, specialist sergeants cannot benefit from any social facilities within the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) while they are having their holidays. As a member of the Turkish Armed Forces, as a member of this family, we want to benefit from the social facilities of the army camps throughout Turkey,” Doğan added.
