Coronavirus epidemic continues to increase economic repercussions day by day in Turkey. The sector that the economic crisis hit the most was the print media. In this difficult process, an exemplary support came from the Samsun Conscious Teachers Association (ÖĞDER) to serve as an example for the Milli Gazete.
After reading the editorial written by Milli Gazete Editor-in-Chief Mustafa Kurdaş, Samsun Conscious Teachers Association (ÖĞDER) announced that all readers in Samsun and its districts who applied for a cancellation application for the Milli Gazete will meet their 2-month subscription fees.
Evaluating the study in our newspaper, ÖĞDER Samsun Branch President Hasan Keser said, “Our aim is not to drop the subscription of our Milli Gazete and add new ones while we have troubled days due to coronavirus. 2-month subscription fees of all readers in Samsun and its districts are from us… We will continue these studies.”
“OUR GOAL TO NOT LET DOWN THE SUBSCRIPTIONS OF MİLLİ GAZETE”
* Hasan Keser, Head of the Samsun Conscious Teachers Association (ÖĞDER) Branch, who started working after reading the Milli Gazete editorial “Hard Times”, and said, “I recently read the article "The hard times" of Milli Gazete Editor-in-Chief Mustafa Kurdaş. After reading the article, we came together with our board of directors as Samsun ÖĞDER Branch. In order to provide our support, we made a study together by calling our Milli Gazete representative Yalçın Büyük in our region after taking the decision of the way we should follow. We learned that there are cancellation of subscribers because there are those who cannot open the workplace and close their shops due to the epidemic. We learned that there are cancellations in our district of Samsun and Terme. We said to the subscribers, whose cancellation was in question, "Continue to those who want to buy the newspaper, but we will pay the 2-month subscription fee as ÖĞDER". Our goal not let down the subscriptions of our Milli Gazete and to add new ones. On the other hand, we found new subscribers instead of those who could not get, namely artisan tea ovens. We will continue these studies."
