Sister Gül... She was called that by the people around her because she was always a smiling person with the awareness that smiling is a charity. Because her real name is Gürsel Altınöz... We talked to Gül Abla, who has a life story full of spirituality, about the secret of her success in life, we listened to her perspective on life and took note of her advice. Our interview with Sister Gül is with you...

“My son! It is easy to write, easy to say, but difficult to live, says the late Mehmed Zahid Kotku...

When we heard that Sister Gül was also a person who aspires to live rather than to write and speak, we knocked on her door and dived into a deep conversation.

Sister Gül, whom we asked to tell her life story, sometimes smiled and sometimes tears fell from her eyes.

As a result, a life story emerged that will warm the hearts of those who read it and set an example for young people in particular.

SPIRITUAL AWARENESS CHANGES YOUR LIFE

In 1996, Sister Gül suddenly attains a spiritual awareness... This incident becomes the breaking point of Gül Abla's life and her perspective on life changes. She leaves from Mersin, where she resides, and comes to the Fatih district of Istanbul, where she fell in love. Sister Gül, whose family problems also played a role in her taking this radical decision, accumulates valuable experiences in her adventure with her 16-year-old daughter.

LEADING TO THE WAY WITH 9 LIRA IN HER POCKET

Sister Gül says that she is in love with 3 places; Mecca, Medina and Fatih... Sister Gul sets out with exactly 9 liras in her pocket and describes this journey as emigration. Gul Abla, who takes her breath away in Fatih Mosque as soon as she arrives in Istanbul, is having a hard time. She cleans and cooks at home. Despite the difficult conditions of life, not a single haram bite passes through his throat.

LOVE IS SO BEAUTIFUL...

Sister Gül is a sincere Muslim... One of the reasons why she loves Istanbul so much is the spiritual spirit that the city carries. During her first visit to Istanbul, she recites Fatiha in front of every tomb. A teacher she met one day said, "My daughter, there is no need for this, there is no obligation to read in front of the grave of a deceased person to go to his soul." Telling this story to express that she is not very knowledgeable, Sister Gül also states that there is no such thing as being a scholar among the conditions of love. Sister Gül says the following words after describing this event:

“Love is so beautiful...”

SHE MEETS HUSEYIN HODJA

Hearing the cry of Sister Gül, a young man named Hüseyin comes out of the muezzin's room. "What happened sister, why are you crying?" Gul holds the meat in her hand to Huseyin and says, "Here, my son, this meat is yours." The person named Hüseyin, whom Sister Gül met that day and gave the sacrificial meat in her hand, becomes a muezzin with a great voice and wins the world first prize in the field of recitation. A person named Hüseyin, who was 15-16 years old that day, takes an important place in Sister Gül's life.

“WE ARE COMING TO YOU WITH THE POLICES”

Huseyin Hodja, who teaches the Qur'an to Gul Abla's daughter, knocks on Gul Sister's door one day after leaving the mosque with a cookie called "Honey Crispy". Crispy with honey, which you can eat in Gül Abla's hot patisserie today, is eaten with pleasure that day, and after the conversation, Hüseyin Hodja asks permission. Hours after the visit, Gül Abla's home phone rings at around three o'clock in the night. Lifting the handset, Gul Abla is greeted by the voice of Hüseyin Hodja, “We are coming to you with the police.” Unable to understand what's going on, Sister Gul answers, "Of course, here you go".

“I LOVED THE POLICE THAT DAY”

When Hüseyin Hodja comes to Sister Gül's house with the police, the issue becomes clear. The police were after the Holy Beard of Mohammad (PBUH) and some money stolen from the mosque where Hüseyin Hodja worked. Huseyin Hodja was among the suspects because he was the last person to leave the mosque on the day the theft was noticed. For this reason, searches were made in every place Hüseyin Hodja went to that day. Sister Gül gets worse when she learns the reason for the police's arrival. After the interrogation, the police leave the house. Holy Beard and some money stolen from the mosque where Hüseyin Hodja worked are found after a short time. Embarrassed against both Huseyin Hodja and Gul, the police come back to the house in the morning. The police, who sincerely apologize to Gul Abla, also show the delicacy of bringing bags of food to the house, which is full of lockers. Saying, "I loved the police that day," Gul Abla also records that they cried with the police.

AWESOME PRODUCTS ARE CREATING BY SISTER GÜL

Over time, Gul Abla starts working with a coffee shop. Gül Abla, who received pastry education in her education life but did not work in this field until then, produces wonderful products. Gul Abla, who started her business life from scratch, so to speak, welcomes her guests in her shop located very close to Vatan Security today. I deliberately choose the word guest instead of customer, because Gül Abla and her staff are so sincere and sincere that you don't feel like a customer there.

THE SECRET OF SUCCESS IS BELIEVING

Bringing the magnificent beauty products to our people, Gül Abla said, “What is the secret of your success?” It also answers our question. Noting that she never sent anyone off without treats, Gül Abla said, “The secret of success is to believe. After faith, dreams come true.” Stating that the culture of tradesmen is disappearing day by day, Gül Abla warns that especially young people should experience this culture.

YOU SHOULD EXPERIENCE A WARM WELCOME AND A GENUINE CHAT

As our conversation with Gül Abla, which lasted for more than an hour, comes to an end, we feel that an indescribable sincerity is ingrained in our hearts. We recommend you to go to the peaceful shop of Gül Abla, who applies the subtleties of being human to her life in a completely natural way. Because, in addition to tasting the most beautiful products, you also need to experience that warm welcome and friendly conversation... Nice people, glad they exist...

There is no sincerity anymore, formalism has become very dominant.

The thing I regret most is arrogance... Arrogance has taken its toll.

Technology and arrogance have made humanity this way. People forget love. We do not live the meaning of the places we live in.
