Anatolian Youth Association (AGD), which reacted by carrying out many actions and protests against the attacks carried out by terrorist Israel, issued a press statement against the attacks from universities all over Türkiye.
The Ankara leg of the statements was held at Hacettepe University Campus.
During the protest in Ankara, university students demanded that relations with Israel end immediately and that their demands be conveyed to the government.
“WHY DON'T OUR AUTHORITIES DIRECT US TO END THIS INHUMAN CRUELTY?”
The press release held in Ankara was made by Abdüsselam Ayaz, Vice President of the Anatolian Youth Association Branch University Commission.
In the statement, it was stated that young people follow the scientific studies carried out with admiration, and the words of the late Milli Görüş late leader Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan were reminded.
"Adopting the words of our late Erbakan Hodja, 'You can be a professor at a university, you can also receive Nobel prizes, but if the people of your country are hungry as they are today, if they are in poverty and difficulties, if millions of children in the world are dying of poverty and starvation, what good are your Nobel prizes worth?' and the following question: We want to ask. Why don't our scientific studies, scientific facts, and the positions we hold direct us to strive to end this inhumane cruelty?" the statement said.
"OUR EXPECTATION IS THAT YOU SHOULD SCREAM THIS OPPRESSION TO THE WORLD"
While addressing university rectors in the statement, Ayaz emphasized that steps should be taken against inhumane brutality, as in scientific studies.
"The martyrs of more than 30 thousand children and women in Palestine are astonished. Because the behavior they did not expect was not what the oppressor would do, on the contrary, they knew it very well. However, what they did not expect was that those who should uphold the truth and abolish it would remain silent. Our expectation from you, our elders, is that you shout out this oppression to the world in every abstract and concrete sense. You need to mobilize non-governmental organizations and government levels with possible projects. Because this responsibility lies on the shoulders of our scientific elders like you," Ayaz said.
“IMMEDIATE CALL FOR SANCTIONS”
Touching on the importance of taking actual steps in Gaza, Ayaz also called on President Erdoğan.
"We call on him to stop trade with the terrorist network called Israel, and also to urgently gather the leaders of Islamic countries in Turkey and impose immediate sanctions on the terrorist network called Israel," Ayaz added.
