President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his speech at the parliamentary group meeting of his party, said that they are making intense efforts to reduce foreign dependency in energy.
“PUMP PRICES ARE DISTURBING”
Stating that the figures in pump prices due to the excessive increase in oil prices are at a disturbing level, Erdoğan said following words:
"I wish we could prevent this situation even though oil is gushing out from all over our country, but as a country that imports most of its oil consumption, we are immediately affected by both the rise in crude oil prices and the increase in the exchange rate. It is clear that the exponentially increasing current level of oil prices is not sustainable not only for us but for any country."
