Hak-İş Confederation Chairman Mahmut Arslan made a written statement on the 12th anniversary of the Zionist attack on the Mavi Marmara ship carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza. In his statement, Arslan commemorated all Mavi Marmara martyrs, especially Fahri Yıldız, and condemned Zionist Israel.
“WE CONDEMN THE ZIONIST MASSACRES”
Stating that the occupying Zionist Israel has been persecuting Palestine for years, Arslan said, "We strongly condemn the unlawful and cruel treatment of the Zionist Israeli state against our Palestinian brothers and sisters. We commemorate our Mavi Marmara martyrs with respect and mercy, and we condemn the massacres of Zionist Israel that ignore international law."
"WE WILL CONTINUE TO DEFEND PALESTINE"
Emphasizing that as Hak-İş Confederation, they will always defend the Palestinian cause, Arslan added, "Once again, we will continue to work until the establishment of an independent Palestinian State with Jerusalem as its capital, and we declare that we will not support any plan that Palestine will not accept. As Mehmet Akif Ersoy said, ‘As a nation that has become accustomed to the mentality that the bomb can't destroy the hearths as long as they beat together,’ we will not leave Palestinian people and Jerusalem alone, even if almost the whole world leaves them alone.”
