Considering the 12-month averages as of January, consumer prices increased by 14.52 percent and domestic producer prices increased by 15.71 percent.
The average of inflation expectations for economists participating in the Inflation Expectation Survey for January was 1.14 percent. The average of the economists' year-end inflation expectation was 9.91 percent.
4.65 PERCENT INCREASE IN FOOD
As of the main expenditure groups, the highest increase in January was observed in various goods and services with 4.88 percent, food and soft drinks with 4.65 percent and the health group with 3.96 percent; The group that showed the biggest decrease was clothing and footwear with 6.65 percent, household goods with 1.44 percent and communication with 0.25 percent.
The highest annual increase in CPI was observed in the alcoholic beverages and tobacco group with 42.21 percent. This was followed by education with 15.11 percent and various goods and services with 15.01 percent. In this period, there was an increase of 7.51 percent in household goods, 6 percent in clothing and shoes, and 5.66 percent in entertainment and culture.

The weight of the housing group, which has basic housing needs such as electricity, water, natural gas and rent, has been reduced from 15.16 percent to 14.34 percent.
