Anatolian Lions Businessmen Association (ASKON) Adana Branch, which organized a program on Pandemic and Health, drew attention to the difficult processes experienced by healthcare professionals during the coronavirus pandemic.
Adana Provincial Health Director Specialist Dr. Halil Nacar attended as a speaker in the program held at the ASKON Adana Branch Meeting Hall. Many citizens participated in the program, as well as ASKON Adana Branch President Recep Çalışkan and Adana Chamber of Industry President Zeki Kıvanç. In the program, which started with the Quran recitation of the Mediterranean Region Winner, Hafiz Enes Kıransal, important information was given about how life should be in pandemic conditions.

Drawing attention to the dimensions of the coronavirus pandemic, Adana Provincial Health Director, Specialist Dr. Halil Nacar said, “Currently, the number of positive cases per day has increased, but the number of hospitalized people has decreased. Currently, 300 of the 700 beds we have reserved for the pandemic are full. We distinguish the number of positive from number of cases and we see hospitalized persons as cases with positive numbers. The rate of positive tests has doubled in the last week, but the number of inpatients has decreased compared to the previous week. Although the number of positives increased, our people were seriously informed about the spread of the virus and increased their measures accordingly. With the effect of vaccination and the measures taken, we see that the disease is mildly overcome at the last point we have reached. However, it is vital that we keep the precaution at the highest level.”

Making the opening speech of the program, ASKON Adana Branch President Recep Çalışkan said:
"The teams affiliated to the Provincial Health Directorate are trying to be with the citizens by intervening in cases such as accidents, births and heart attacks, regardless of the circumstances, in adverse weather conditions that occur today, as well as the pandemic. I would like to thank all health workers, especially our Provincial Health Director, for their efforts. I would also like to thank Zeki Kıvanç, the President of Adana Chamber of Industry, for both the mask production and the financial and moral support of the employers since the first time of the pandemic.”
