From the weekend, the Islamic world will enter a blessed month of fasting.
Ramadan is considered a time of peace, abundance and all kinds of positive spiritual developments for all Muslims.
In such a situation, it is a primary responsibility and duty for all of us to do good accounting as we enter this blessed month, which is the season of worship and servitude.
At the same time, this duty is an obligation to save us Muslims from the handicap in which the “Muslim personality” is lost and overshadowed today.
Ramadan, remembering our neglected values and taking advantage of its spiritual atmosphere; In addition to its social aspects, it is the season when we return to our essence with our family and realize our selves.
THE MONTH OF THE QURAN: RAMADAN
There are many important religious obligations specific to this month. Fast; It forms the basis of worship, which includes struggle against hunger, thirst, and all kinds of selfish desires and desires. Fasting is an exceptional worship that contributes to the spiritual and spiritual development of the individual and helps him fight against evil. It is a scientific fact that this worship, which is a command of Allah, is also beneficial to human psychology, biology and physiology.
The month of Ramadan is the month of the Qur'an, in which every message of our supreme book, as a guide to guidance, is a medicine for the outdated evil desires and delusions of the hearts. The Qur'an, which contains the orders, prohibitions and other rules of our great religion, Islam, started to be sent down in this month.
This month is a time when cooperation and solidarity among Muslims reach the highest level and compete in charity. Not only Muslims, but all humanity, even the environment and other living things get their share from this.
These prayers, which are very valuable in terms of ensuring social justice, also form a big barrier in front of social and individual crises.
Ramadan is a month when Muslims open their homes and hearts to both the creator and their religious brethren. You can't sit at the table alone in this month. On the contrary, the crowd is accepted as a precursor and even a condition of abundance that will also affect the blessing. Ramadan is the month of purification from all kinds of spiritual and physical weariness and getting away from evil for 11 months.
THE SEASON WHERE HEARTS FIND PEACE
Itikaf, in a way, indicates the moment when this cleansing becomes concrete. It enables us to return to Allah with complete surrender and conscientious reckoning, by purging our spiritual world of delusions that are destructive and alienating from Allah, with contemplation, contemplation and reflection. As always, we will start this year with the hope that Ramadan will be a month in which great spiritual gains will be achieved.
However, this Ramadan coincided with a period when the supply of basic needs, especially food, became more difficult compared to previous years. Considering the deepening of livelihood and the fact that a large part of the society lives on the border of hunger, the increase in crime rates and its reflection on suicide cases has been an inevitable result.
The increase in such tragic events also disrupts the morale and motivation of the society. It should be known that Islam; It contains orders and prohibitions that will make society and individuals peaceful and happy.
Along with the economic problems, a serious anxiety prevails in the society. At this point, our duty is to try to do the best we can, to the maximum.
A worship can only rise to the level of "good deed" if it is performed with a social consciousness. Otherwise, focusing on our individual salvation and trying to spend Ramadan with our personal prayers may not go beyond raising our confidence. For the Islamic society, which is likened to the organs of a body, every difficulty is a test, which requires both patience and solidarity.
OUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
At this point, the main duty of Muslims is; Our aim is not to remain indifferent to the society's cry for help by exhibiting attitudes that will increase our good behavior such as competing in cooperation, strengthening ties of brotherhood, increasing communication, being neighborly, family-friendly, orphans and orphans.
With the motto "Let the people live so that the state can live"; We should raise awareness on this point by warning that Muslims are parts of a body and that if one of these organs is damaged, the whole body will be affected.
As long as we benefit others and take care of these traits, we will find solutions to our problems and heal our wounds. Let's be a cure for someone else's problems so that our problems can find a cure.
If a Muslim commits suicide due to hunger and inability to pay his debts in the geography where the Ummah of a Prophet (pbuh) lived, who said, "He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while his neighbor goes hungry," this shame and sin will shake the whole society.
In addition, social intimacy should be developed by establishing a love and affection network on an individual scale through collective worship.
With these feelings and thoughts, we hope that the month of Ramadan will be the day when all the oppressed geography rejoices and attains real peace and happiness with its fasting, Qur'an, sahur, charity, cooperation and brotherhood that have spread to every cell of our being. May it be a means of salvation.
We pray that our Almighty Allah will give strength and strength on this path, we wish healing to our patients, patience and fortitude to those who endure all kinds of persecution and suffering, and peace, brotherhood and tranquility to every corner of the earth. With a sense of responsibility; Ramadan Mobarak…
