Our country seems to have returned from the brink of an important crisis -for now-. Last week, the announcement of the ambassadors of the European Union countries regarding the release of a suspect who has been detained for four years, suddenly tensed the country and started a new crisis period.
As a natural reflex, the country's rulers reacted strongly by condemning it. After the sudden activity in the markets on the tension experienced, the dollar reached a figure close to 10 lira by forcing historical peaks.
The person who caused the crisis is not a well-known person in the public, but it can be seen from the photographs in the archives that he met and talked with the government officials at the same table during the resolution process for a while.
As far as we know, it was not far from the "neighborhood" at the time, and even took place on the government's desks until a not too old time.
Moreover, he is accused of doing business with the Soros Foundation. There is no hesitation in the legitimacy of this foundation in the eyes of the government. With the words "Soros was once our crown jewel as the AK Party," Mr. Bülent Arınç revealed that they were together. When they broke up, he was suddenly declared a terrorist like the others.
It is known that he was allegedly accused of being the planner of the Gezi protests, that he was arrested in 2017 for this reason, and then accused of the alleged coup attempt of 15 July.
GEZİ EVENTS AND FOREIGN FORCES
The ambassadors' statement can never be excused. This initiative is also contrary to international conventions. (Vienna Treaty, Article 41).
With these statements, many Western countries that call themselves civilized; It is known by the entire world how dirty their laundry is at these legal points.
We leave that aside. What to do in such a case; the prompt conclusion of the case, the execution of the proceedings quickly; If he is innocent, the situation on him is removed, and if he is guilty, he is immediately punished. Thus, the public conscience will be relieved and no one will have the opportunity to speak. This case, which is on the agenda, even the Constitutional Court's decision to continue the detention, which was taken by a majority of votes by being undecided, shows that there is no definite opinion.
We do not know if he is really the planner or instigator of the Gezi events. The judiciary knows this. However, it should be said that if there is solid and concrete evidence, the necessary penal sanction should have been applied without delaying the trial process. The prolongation of such cases does not benefit anyone, but also gives trump cards to foreign powers.
Westerners are in such initiatives with other intentions, not for human rights and law to prevail in Turkey. There is no doubt that they do not have good intentions, but they should not be given material in such situations.
WESTERN AND SINCERITY!
Those who try to adjust us in the international arena should not be given a chance. In fact, what needs to be done is to act professionally, especially in such cases, and the infrastructure and ground of the legal work should be solid, and the right style should be used. Business should not be done on assumptions.
As a result, if a meeting was held as mentioned in the aforementioned case, the minutes of the meeting, the decisions taken and the list of participants should be shared, audio recordings and images should be published, money flow receipts should be revealed, all necessary evidence should be submitted to the judicial authorities in a way that leaves no room for doubt, so that no one should object.
At a time when one has the knowledge that a meeting was held, what was discussed is unclear, what decisions were made, who attended and other details regarding this work are questionable, it may not have a legal consequence to make an attempt based only on estimations.
OUR NATION HAS NO STRENGTH TO LAST
Let's get straight. The country no longer has the strength to handle a new crisis. Today, we are in a country where people lost their jobs after the corona, were crushed under inflation, felt the pain of the wars around, production faced extinction - decreased, everything from needle to thread, barley to wheat was imported and completely dependent on foreign countries.
We are living in a period in which the relevant ministers in the country do not have a solution-based speech about the current situation, either remain silent or pursue political manipulation.
“Do you get the salary in dollars or in foreign currency?” The phrase is nothing more than a tragicomic phrase that can only be laughed at at a time when Turkey is so dependent on foreign sources. At a time when everything is moving and dependent on dollars, this statement is nothing but mocking and deceiving the minds of the people.
Today, it is unknown what the real foreign exchange reserves and public debt stock are in the country; With various figures, biased tables and deceptive indicators, people are not properly and adequately informed.
2023, 2053, 2071 TARGETS!
As a result, "Everyone has a smart phone in their pocket. Even the doormen's have cars". It is high time to implement policies that are sensitive to their problems and understand real solution-oriented people, instead of imaginary, vulgar, cheap-minded expressions such as "The parking of shopping malls are full, there is a queue in front of the store". It is now time to treat the wound, not just to dress it.
This nation no longer tolerates crisis from every job, abuse from every crisis, expectation of victory from every abuse. It should not stress the society more, and the country's agenda should not be occupied with simple tasks when the country has so many problems that need to be solved urgently.
Postponing the problems; Leaving to the 2023, 2053 and 2071 targets, it is time to do something more than the slogans "The next election is the most important election in Turkey" and "The firecrackers will explode in Gaza".
