One of the highlights of the agenda is the 'opening ceremonies with prayers'; Religious people always care about prayer. Prayer has a special place and importance in all religions. Prayer; It is a special form of communication with the supreme creator as the inner voice of man. It is a secret moment when everyone is in touch with their conscience, they are in touch with their inner world, and they live their own self.

It is seen that the insistence of the President of Religious Affairs in recent days has caused question marks in many people. We think that the President of Religious Affairs himself will not have such a demand and initiative, and he is not someone who is eager to come forward.

As it will be remembered, he took part in the public with his prayer at the opening of the Supreme Court building in the past weeks and afterwards at the opening of the Turkish House in America.

SENSITIVITIES AND POLITIZATION

to minds; I wonder what lies behind this? Is the President of Religious Affairs deliberately kept on the agenda by someone and something is planned?

By emphasizing the President; With the criticism of the opposite side, a result such as the destruction of a respected institution such as the Presidency of Religious Affairs, which is responsible for providing religious services to all segments of the society, may occur.

Is someone deliberately throwing the President of Religious Affairs in front of social media? At this point, is it preparing the ground for the criticism of the Diyanet to be perceived as being made against Islam?

In this way, is it trying to prevent possible loss of votes by politicizing the religiously sensitive parts of the society?

Because we have never encountered a scenario in which the Diyanet is so prominent. It is clear that such theo-political maneuvers will not benefit anyone, but will bring water to someone's mill. It should also be known that this approach means instrumentalizing religion and turning the sacred into a political material. The most sensitive feeling is religious feelings, they should not be worn down or used for ugly purposes.

ABUSE OF THE SACRED AND RANT

In short, is it intended to cause the Diyanet to be worn out with the aim of tightening the ranks again in a time close to the election, and to cause the perception of "enemies of religion" in the right/conservative faction? If there is such an intention, it means a really ugly plan. It causes polarization of people over religion and religious values.

Let's get straight. There is nothing more important and beautiful than the prayer of the President of Religious Affairs. It is nice to see that the opening ribbon of an institution is cut with prayer and education begins with prayer.

We must clearly state that almost ninety percent of this nation, except for a small marginal group, are satisfied with any activity that begins with great enthusiasm, prayer and the Qur'an.

But the main problem is that it is turned into a political show. Although those who do this try to give the impression that they do not agree with this idea, it is observed that this situation causes discomfort even in religious circles.

This country has suffered a lot for years because of polarizations. Different scenarios should not be put on the field again, the same games should not be played, new pains should not be brought to this nation for the sake of simple interests.

2000s

“Is it good or bad for a president to go to a mosque?” such a question is a useless occupation. People used to say to such joy, "We sacrifice our lives without blinking".

What a dream it was to see the country's president in the mosque until the 90s and 2000s. Who knows what our people wouldn't sacrifice to make this dream come true.

Not only in our day, but even in our history. For example, in the historical Selatin mosques, there was a place for the sultans to pray. These were called "private to the sultan". In fact, the entrance of this section is a little wide, saying to the sultan, "Don't be proud, my sultan, there is a God greater than you!" message was given.

It is also nice for statesmen to go to the mosque and pray. But if today's attitudes and behaviors have become "making people hate religion", it should not be wrong to make inquiries here.

Of course, it is the right and duty of believers to go to the mosque as a personal worship. However, if worship is turned away from intimacy and turned into a show and show; If people are turned away from religion, pious, prayer and mosque, it will be a sad situation.

MAKING PEOPLE HATE VALUES

Unfortunately - as we have seen frequently in the last period - if people come to the mosque with siren-sounding vehicles, accompanied by convoys, and are harassed; if the inside and outside of the mosque was besieged by heavily armed men in black glasses and in full-fledged uniforms, as if on a great terrorist hunt; If there is a situation that prevents people who do not know how to pray, even sit or stand up, come and harass the front congregation at the last moment and interrupt the khutbah, as everyone knows, it is not an elegant situation, it is a disaster at most.

Today, the approach of people and our youth to religious values is seriously problematic. It is not for anyone to make people hate religion, religion, prayer, even the Diyanet and the mosque, no one should, no one should dare to do so, and they have no right to do so.

Allah forbid, we may have to deal with the warning, "So woe to those who pray, [But] who are heedless of their prayer – " (Ma'un, 4-6).
