“WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT STREET WASTE COLLECTORS”
Speaking before the iftar, ‘Türk-İş’ Chairman Ergün Atalay emphasized the meaning of being together with street waste collectors. Atalay said, “I know this; The official iftar organized by ‘Türk-İş’ in the only month of Ramadan is the iftar we made with you tonight. We don't have another iftar. From now on, we will continue our support by making street waste collectors visible in the society.”
“IF INFLATION CONTINUES AT THIS SPEED, THE RISE WILL NOT HAVE AN EFFECT”
Talking about the inflation figures announced by Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) as 61 percent in the past few days, Atalay stated that the tradesmen, civil servants and workers in our country are experiencing great financial difficulties. Referring to the discussions on the second minimum wage hike, Atalay added, “We are in an environment with the highest inflation in recent years. As soon as this inflation is brought to a certain point, take as much raise as you want. As long as inflation continues at this rate, the increase you will receive will not have any feature.”
