The echoes of the Supreme Military Council (YAŞ) meeting continue. In the Supreme Military Council convened under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, 38 generals and admirals were retired due to lack of staff.

The echoes of the Supreme Military Council (YAŞ) meeting continue. In the Supreme Military Council convened under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, 38 generals and admirals were retired due to lack of staff, 16 generals and admirals were promoted to a higher rank and 47 colonels were promoted to generals and admirals. In addition, the terms of office of 40 generals and admirals were extended by one year. Naval Forces Commander Admiral Adnan Özbal and Air Force Commander General Hasan Küçükakyüz were retired due to lack of staff. 
 

CENK DURMAZER WAS WORKING AS THE HEAD OF STAFF IN THE COMMAND OF NAVAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING

 
Among the colonels who were retired due to lack of staff, there is also a prominent name in the fight against FETO terrorist organization; Naval Staff Colonel Cenk Durmazer. Judicial Follow-up Administrative Procedure and Investigation (ATİİ) Branch, which is one of the centers of the fight against FETÖ terrorist organization, was closed years ago. Naval Staff Colonel Cenk Durmazer, who is the head of personnel security department of ATII Branch, was also retired in YAŞ 2022 due to lack of staff. Durmazer, served as chief of staff in the command of naval education and training.

On the other hand, Cem Ciran, who was mentioned in FETO's ‘military espionage and blackmail’ plot and was released after being detained, was among those who were retired due to lack of staff. Recently, a lawsuit was filed against 43 defendants, including former police chiefs, who allegedly caused the victimization of many military personnel by making irregularities in the investigation of ‘military espionage in Istanbul’ by order of FETO. The indictment, which was approved by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was accepted by the Istanbul 29th High Criminal Court.
